Willamette Analytics specializes in obsidian hydration analysis of artifact obsidian in the context of archaeological research. The obsidian hydration laboratory is equipped with a two petrographic microscopes: an Olympus BHT petrographic microscope fitted with a video micrometer unit and digital imaging video camera, and a Meiji MT9200 petrographic microscope and Meiji HD1500MET digital camera system utilizing Capture2.3 software.
Each project is returned with an electronic report and detailed data tables (suitable for use as a standalone appendix).
Also included is a spreadsheet with all analytical reports, graphics files of any figures that appear in the report, and a copy of any Adobe Acrobat files that were produced as part of a project.
Standard shipping (UPS, FedEx, or Certified/Delivery Confirmation mail) of artifacts and results is included with all projects.

For an extra 35% your project will be expedited for a turn-around time of two weeks.
Artifacts will be shipped back promptly and a copy of the results will be emailed to you.
For large projects, a longer turn-around time might be required.
